‘Being fashion photographer is magic’
In March of this year Miguel Reveriego visited EFTI to hold a workshop of fine art photography for students of the International Masters in Fashion Photography.
We could talk with him about his trajectory, taking advantage his visit to the school, the secrets that has led him to achieve a personal touch, about the woman that has a leading role in his images, the current state of fashion and how new technologies have influenced the development of photography towards fashion films or new platforms.
Born in Madrid, he started his career as photographer assistant at the age of 21, mainly working with the photographer Paco Navarro.
Four years later, after he has worked as an independent photographer, he moved to London, where he started over, accepting the post of first assistant of Mert and Marcus. He worked with them for three years and decided to embark a solo career as international photographer. Only a month later, he made the worldwide campaign for Vivienne Westwood and Camilla Lowther hired him for her agency and started to publish with magazines such as Dazed and Confused, Another Magazine, Wonderland and to make ad campaigns for Pollini, Prada…
In 2011 after has established his career in Europe, he decided to settle in NY, where he nowadays works for magazines such as Vanity Fair America, Vogue, V Magazine and clients like Lancôme, Victoria’s Secret, Longines.
